Yes, and this is a great design option. Many tell us the extra seams of the cuts add even more to the realism.

How to use the formats

When the material is cut into strips and mounted on boards, it mimics hardwood, called luxury vinyl plank flooring. The images are clear and vibrant, and you can even get textures such as wire-brushed, hand-scraped, distressed, or embossed-in-register.

It is also cut into square, tile-sized pieces that are bold and bright. Stone looks have all the veining variations and "imperfections" created by Mother Nature.

You aren't limited as to how to use a form. Many prefer vinyl planks for stone or significant tile looks. This is because of the large format and fewer seams.

Others might also use luxury vinyl tile for wood. This echoes another hot trend: wood look tile.

Affordable style

Sometimes, this vinyl is so realistic that even the flooring experts have difficulty telling it from genuine materials. However, it will cost only a fraction of the price of wood or stone.

Extreme durability

This is layered with a robust top, transparent, melamine wear layer that protects the floor from heavy foot traffic, wear, dropped pots and pans, pull toys, and more.

It's also 100% waterproof, so it withstands spills, floods, leaks, etc., without damage.
